One-to-One Appointments with a Writing Advisor
Our writing advisors will review any writing assignment, in any genre, across the disciplines. We will also help with CVs, resumes, personal statements, cover letters, applications, and more. Our writing advisors will provide useful and informed feedback whatever your stage in the writing process. Keep in mind, we are not an editing service. Our goal is to help you become a better writer and communicator.
Book your appointment with a writing advisor:
- Login to Western Connect
- Choose Appointments on your Dashboard (Desktop: left-hand side)
- Choose Writing Support Centre and then Book by Appointment Type
- Search for appointment by Type and Availability and book your appointment
Writing Advisors in the Indigenous Student Centre
Indigenous students are invited to book a one-to-one presentation help appointment in the Indigenous Student Centre.
Notes On Appointments
Due to demand for our one-to-one appointments, students are limited to booking one appointment at a time. You are able to book your next appointment once you have attended your currently booked session.
If you do not see an open appointment, we are fully booked. Please book ahead or check back for cancellations. If you cannot find an open appointment time, please let us know!
Cancellations
If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment, please be considerate of your fellow students and cancel your appointment in Western Connect so another student can make use of your appointment time. Students who fail to attend their appointment are listed as a No-Show, which can limit future access to our services.
